LDG Contracts, the commercial arm of Synseal customer Lancashire Double Glazing, went back to school to replace 70 windows over Easter at Revoe School for Blackpool Borough Council.

The contract was to remove old PVC-U single glazed windows, most of them were over three metres tall, and replaced with new Legend windows from Synseal.

“Timing was of the essence, as all the work had to be completed over the Easter holidays,” says Bill Forsyth, Managing Director of LDG Contracts. “Over the final weekend of the installation we put thirteen Fitters on the job to ensure the children didn’t miss any lessons and could return to school on time. The playground was cleared of scaffolding and skips by 7am on Monday morning before the children arrived at school after their Easter break.”

Lancashire Double Glazing has an ongoing partnership with Blackpool Borough Council and Lancashire County Council. Bill adds: “We have now completed work in over 250 schools since we started actively seeking commercial work back in 1998.
