Our Factory & Manufactoring
LDG Contracts, have been manufacturing aluminium products for over 30 years and have developed into one of the market leaders in the North West of England who can offer everything under one roof!
In order to meet the challenges and demands of an increasing number of commercial clients, choosing LDG Contracts has meant overtime, we have had to make major investments into a new purpose built 20,000 square foot factory in Preston. Our latest addition to this, is our large factory in Ellesmere Port which we took over and purchased in 2013, giving us an even larger production facility, to cope with the ever increasing contracts, allowing us to ensure we do not impact on the quality and design and volume, of those we successfully bid for.
Both factories have received major investments with state of the art production machinery which include, automated CNC saw centres, CNC machine centres CNC four headed crimpers. We now house not one but two, of the most advanced aluminium production plants in the country. We consistently meet the demands of multi million pound contacts, enabling us to offer a quick turn around and a higher quality of product to satisfy our growing customer base.
We currently employ approximately 120 Multi skilled fabricators with a diverse workforce, incorporating a number of different nationalities. We invest in training with all our staff and currently running many apprenticeship schemes ensuring our skills for the future continue throughout our lifetime.
We are committed to managing our premises and workforce in a sustainable manner, in line with the UK government Sustainable Development Strategy. As part of this, we address social, economic and environmental issues, when taking decisions and aim to reduce the impact our operations may have on the environment.
We continue to develop and improve our waste by reduction, reuse and recycling methods where possible. We have invested on our own sites, Mammoth Roll Packers, which are exceptionally suited for compacting large amounts of window and doors, which have to come back from sites, ensuring all our waste is managed in the best possible way.
