About
LDG Contracts has been awarded the external glazing package for the façade works on the Manchester Life Flour site and please to work alongside Eric Wright Construction on this prestige project.
The new building is an eight-storey high, concrete framed, mix use development including retail units to the ground floor, carparking to the 1st floor and 158 apartments to the upper floors.
The high-quality building includes, 45 one-bed apartments, 101 two-bed apartments and 12 three-bed apartments
To the ground floor, 8 commercial units have been created providing a floor space of over 1250sqm
Key Challenges
The main challenge on this project involve the busy city centre location of the site, making the managing, planning and logistics of the vast amount of materials required, with limited space on site of the upmost importance.
Working closely with the Eric Wrights site team and other trades, to programme and sequence the complex façade to meet with the tight timescales involved.
Scope of Works
The project comprises of:
- 508 Technal FX 65 windows,
- 44 Technal MX grid Curtain Walling Screens
- 7 louvre screens
- 2 fully automatic door entrance screens
- 28 automatic opening vents
