About

Canterbury Hall was a 125k contract we completed on behalf of Warden Construction. It consisted of 230 UPVC windows, 24 Aluminium windows with AOV gearing and 8 sets of Aluminium doors, 2 with automation. Our design team had to come up with a solution to overcome the size of the UPVC window sashes as these were at the limit of the systems capabilities. We introduced a sash clip to the centre of the windows to pull the sash in on the jambs to achieve compression which worked well. Each elevation had to be fitted with specific trickle vents to provide different levels of acoustic performance due to the two roads around the building being very busy throughout the day with traffic. Our install lasted for 6 months with our site team attending weekly progress review and planning meetings on site to enable us to work with a range of other sub-contractors to achieve key dates within the programme. The contract was handed over snag free and ahead of schedule.
