The Challenges
The works consisted of Aluminium doors, Curtain Wall screens and an Atrium roof all manufactured, supplied and installed by LDG Contracts. The glass supplied on this project was solar controlled glass and some of them had integral blinds fitted.
This was an exciting project for LDG Contracts and we have continued working very closing with the University and are currently working on the refurbishment of over 200 windows, doors and curtain wall screens for The Physics Building which we anticipate to complete by March 2017.

Refurbishment of an old mill into luxury apartments. 265 x Aluminium windows, 1 x Curtain wall screen and 2 x Aluminium doors. This contract was an old mill that was being refurbished into new apartments. The requirement for LDG was to replicate the original sliding sash windows.

The Challenges
The Main Frontage was made up of 2 large Curved Toggle Screens with concealed openers and blinds inside every pane of glass. T Comar supplied the extrusion and Pilkington Eclipse Arctic Blue was the glass spec. The building itself is used to monitor and manage the 200 turbines that are in the Irish Sea off the coast of Barrow.
